What You'll Do

As an Inventory Tech, your primary role is to ensure that our products consistently meet food safety and quality standards while maintaining accurate inventory and complying with company, state, and FDA regulations. This position plays a critical role in safeguarding product integrity and maintaining the trust our customers place in us.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced warehouse environment that includes cooler and freezer operations.

You will be responsible for:

  • Conduct inbound and outbound product inspections and verify inventory accuracy throughout all stages of warehouse operations
  • Perform routine inventory counts and cycle counts while reconciling discrepancies and maintaining accurate inventory records
  • Track and manage inventory levels to minimize waste, shrinkage, and stock discrepancies
  • Assist with product allergen inspections and verify accurate allergen labeling to prevent cross-contamination
  • Calibrate thermometers for warehouse use and monitor cooler and freezer temperatures
  • Support technical warehouse operations, including setting up 2nd shift picking by applying QC verification labels, examining products, recording inspection results, and taking corrective actions when necessary
  • Assist in evaluating and resolving customer complaints through vendor scorecards, including documenting rejected load reasons such as yellowing, browning, temperature damage, and other quality concerns
  • Help support the development and maintenance of vendor scorecards
  • Support ERP and PDA scanner testing while ensuring accurate inventory data entry across systems
  • Assist management with generating inventory and quality control reports
  • Oversee the disposal process for expired products and maintain accurate records of removed inventory
  • Conduct glass and brittle plastic audits throughout the facility
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support continuous improvement initiatives in both inventory management and quality assurance processes
  • Recommend process improvements to increase operational efficiency and product quality standards
  • Analyze inspection and inventory trends to proactively identify potential issues
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Perform additional duties as assigned

Physical Requirements for the role:

  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to work in varying temperatures, including freezer environments as cold as -10°F
  • Must be able to regularly lift 20–30 pounds and occasionally lift up to 100 pounds
  • Must possess manual dexterity to safely handle tools and warehouse equipment
  • Frequent bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, and walking throughout the shift

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma
  • Basic Microsoft Word & Excel Skills
  • Minimum of 1 year of quality control and/or inventory management experience (preferred)
  • Previous experience working with food allergens (preferred)
  • Experience with ERP or inventory management systems (preferred)
  • Bilingual in either Chinese or Spanish and English (preferred)
